CHANCEL CHOIR

The Chancel Choir is a non-auditioned choir open to HIGH SCHOOL AGE and ADULTS.

The choir welcomes all who love to sing!  Several choir members have prior experience in a school or community chorus, but it is NOT required.  Inexperienced singers can be paired up with an experienced singer in rehearsal to help guide him/her as needed. Rehearsals are held in the Sanctuary at 6:30pm every Wednesday night.

"No fun without music and no music without fun" and that to me describes our choir and our rehearsal time together.  Being able to share God's words through music is my own personal delight, I love God and I love singing.”    -- Kathryn Lorenz

“The Choir has been such an inspiration to me.  I was a bit apprehensive when I joined, because I had not sung in a group for years.  I didn't know if I would be an asset or a hindrance, but because of a dedicated, loyal and talented director as well as other Choir members, I have become more at ease.  When we sing in the Choir there is a joy and blessing in serving others as well as doing the work God has designated for us.   I appreciate the devotions we had before we would practice. The words in the songs relating to the scriptures really made an impact on me.  The prayer at the end of rehearsals is also a blessing.  To God Be The Glory!”  -- Martha Zatkalik

“Participation in the choir provides an opportunity to sing our praises to God and add meaning to our services.  Who wouldn't want to sing in the choir with excellent musical direction and an opportunity to associate with a lot of great people?”  -- Terry Stocks

“My association with our Church Choir this past year has been a very enriching and rewarding experience.  We have learned so much, not only in the music selection, but things that have helped me to sing with greater enthusiasm and vigor to glorify God, and hopefully provide our congregation greater enjoyment in listening to our Choir.  The drive and positive direction you provide has been the driving force and inspiration for us all to do better and praise our Lord with music!!”  -- Art Lorenz

“I love singing in the choir. It is a spiritual experience and also helps keep me sharp musically.  But I think I like the “fringe benefits” best.  Many people in our congregation just don’t realize the great benefits of singing in our choir.  It’s not winter ski trip, it’s not the spring week at the beach, it’s not the catered breakfasts once a month (not bad for singing two services once in a while,) it’s not just that check we get once a month like clockwork; it’s really all about that personal assistant who runs our errands, picks up dry-cleaning, watches our pets while we’re away, chauffeurs the kids to ball practice, etc.  Not just while we’re at rehearsal, but anytime we need them.  What a blessing our church has been to our choir!!  We cannot thank you all enough and we invite you to join in just a couple of the “goodies” with which we are so richly endowed by our congregation.  Next month a realtor/developer is taking us all to Louisiana to look at some property!”
