We have had a terrific stay in Jericho. We oriented to Jerusalem—see pix. Then yesterday we did the Good Sam road from Jericho to Jerusalem and saw the mount of Temptation with monastery and School. And the electronic installation on top of the Mount with antennas. Then Jericho, Samson and David and Goliath. Group loves Jim Martin and the Bible is starting to come alive!
Today we go to Caesarea Maritima and Mount Carmel and end up at the Sea of Galilee. Everyone’s well and sends our best. Thanks for your prayers.
We started out at the Sycamore tree in Jericho where Zachaeus met Jesus. We saw the Mount of Temptation, NT Jericho and OT Jericho with its world famous excavation of the 7000 BC tower on the wall of Jericho which God conquered with a march and trumpets. The rest of the day we saw the valley system by which invaders get into ancient Israel from the Sea Coast road. At the site of Samson’s stomping grounds, we remembered the story of the Ark of the Covenant coming to Jerusalem and the victory of David over Goliath. The next day I took pictures of Breakfast and our Jericho hotel before we went to Caesarea by the Sea and on to Megiddo. After that we arrived at the Sea of Galilee.
