Sunday Morning Christian Education
for Adults
Sundays 9:45-10:45;
Begins NEXT SUNDAY, Feb. 17-March 24
The Lenten Season will see specific classes for the six weeks
between Ash Wednesday, February 13, and Easter, March 31.
Read with Me, A Lenten class especially for parents of
Preschool and Elementary children, resourced by
Maggie Downs in Fellowship Hall. We hear so often that
God’s Word, is booorrring? Really? The Bible is a book
given to us by God so that we might know him, learn of his
love, and love him in return. It is full of stories of how
people discovered God’s love, formed a relationship with
him and how we can do the same. One of the greatest joys
anyone can have as a parent is introducing a child to the
Lord Jesus. This class will help you do just that. The truth
is this: Your child/ren will learn to love the Lord and
his Word from your love for Him and his Word. No one
else can pass that along to them. No special skills are
required, just a willingness to spend a regular time each
day with your child, and a desire to deepen your
relationship with God and your child/ren.
Cross Talk Using the “Scripture Passage” – it’s in the prior
week’s bulletin, the Palos Plans and on the website - we
will reflect on God’s word about the Cross of Jesus Christ.
As we look at its meaning, our experiences, our thoughts
and our questions we will better understand that God is
specifically and uniquely speaking to each of us. Matt
Zatkalik will provide the encouragement and leadership.
Your participation will enable it to happen for you as well as
us.
What the Bible Is All About includes the Formation of the
Church in the First Century. Joann McNicholas is leading
this class through this great story which is seen through the
work of the first and most storied church growth leader in
history: Paul. Everyone is welcome to pick up the story
here. You will find a lot of truth for our church and your life.
This class meets at the West End of Fellowship Hall.
